A climate technology company, Eki Co-Net said it will lead the largest tree planting exercise in Africa on October 1st, 2024, in celebration of Nigeria’s independence day, as a move to combat climate change.
A statement signed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Aigboviose Omage on Sunday noted that the initiative aligns with the company’s mission to decarbonise the earth through its innovative digital products and tree planting efforts, marking a significant step toward a sustainable future.
It said the event, which will host thousands of participants, will commence at the National Stadium in Abuja, serving as the launch point for the tree-planting activities.
It stated that citizens from all walks of life are invited to join as they will connect with like-minded individuals, support a crucial environmental cause, and contribute to the global fight against climate change.
